The original Su-39 update got approved in 2059 (Aka OGO 59 and the designation Su-59). "Sniper" seemed odd for its role, but there were no protests about it.
With a lower top speed, no canards, and no thrust veectoring to aid manuvering, it is not
air-to-air threat and will be accompanied by Su-55s or Su-57s.
What it does have is a larger gun, the GSh-2-30K or DC, which has 2 barrels and 300 rounds.

The only difference between the OGO41 and OGO91 is the model of Autocannon the 40 used pre-rifts rounds, the 91 and 98 used the NUSR Two Stage rounds. Like the other jet combat craft the 98 did get a nuclear Power Supply, no more batteries. The change from 41s to 91s was done in a week, Due to the power supply change the upgrade to 98s took 3 months.

Doctorine does not allow for pilots to be in the air for more then 12 hours, the plane can do 16 hours before risking engine damage. It takes the engines an hour to cool down and then can be restarted safely. Doctorine would call for another hour for maintenance.
