|
The Su-57 traces itself back to the Old Soviet Union (CCCP not HCCP) T-10 prototype which became the Su-27 series to the S-32 prototype, which was a pure canard design on to the S-37 (not to be confused with the Su-37) which went to a tandam triplane design, which used tailplanes and canards, then the Su-47 Technology Demonstraighter, which had small tailplanes, to the post WWIII Su-57 which saw the jet armed. The easist way to distinguish A Su-57 From the older Su-47 is the addition of wingtip missile rails like the Su-37/Su-55. The use of M.D.C materials allowed the old, pre Rift NUSR to strengthen and brace the wings to the point that the plane was able to break Mach 2, the current designs will do better then that.
