NUSR Vol Paketa Class Submarine

In the world of the NUSR, Surface cargo ships were still in use, but for the most secret of cargos, the NUSR had launched the Pack-Mule. The Pack-Mule was good, just too slow and too small. So taking the old Akula mk8 (Aka the Typhoon) and converted them to Vol Paketa (Pack-Ox) Mk9s by adding 75m length, 5m beam and 3 meters in draught after pulling the missile tubes. this was seen as very sucessful and the type has under gon a series of upgrades since. The Western Recovery Fleet Subs were the Mk14 variety, they added the defensive lasers for the Mk15.

The cargo area is 120m x 9.3m x 6.2m (394ft x 30.6ft x 20.5ft), Enough for 64 cargo containers (12.2m x 2.45m x2.6m or 40ft x 8ft x8.5ft), if weight is low enough. A cargo container can weight up to 30,500kg Gross or 26600kg Net. Total cargo weight is safety capped at 2500 tons, but can safely carry 4520tons with Military clearance, about 1/2 of a WWII Liberty ship.

If used as a troop transport roughly 2 UAMP batalions, with equipment, but not vehicles can be carried.

Statistical Data:
Range18 months before needing to resupply food unless cargo area is used for extra food supply. Normally the Subs are not sent out for more then 6 months as food that would remain good that long (Fresh vegitbles, fresh meat would go bad/start to get freezer burn.

Weapons Systems:
1) Large 32in Torpedo Tubes 4 tubes forward/2 aft firing any Large torpedo including the Hawk cruise missile. The White october will carry 36 torpedos, including 6 Hawks, each tube can fire 1 torpedo every other melee round.
2) Medium Torpedo Tubes 2 tubes forward/2 aft firing any Medium torpedo.1 torpedo, per tube, per round.
3)Defensive Lasers 20 flush mounted lasers with a 100 degreearc of fire up/down left/right.
4 each, fore and aft. 1 top starboard. 1 bottom starboard. 1 top port, 1 bottom port.
4 at top of the conning tower. 1 each fore starbord and port. 1 each aft starboard and aft port.
4 out from the base of the conning tower. 1 each fore starbord and port. 1 each aft starboard and aft port.
4 from the bottom of the hull, inline with the conning tower mounts. 1 each fore starbord and port. 1 each aft starboard and aft port.
Purpose: Anti-Torpedo.
Secondary Purpose: Anti-Border.
MDC: 2d4x10.
Rate of Fire: Gunner HtH.
