Equipment

Money is primarily in the form of gold and silver coins. Silver coins are more common among peasants and laborers, while middle and upper classes rely on gold. Coins are about the size of a half-dollar and weigh about 0.64 oz. Thus 25 coins weigh a pound, and 250 coins are +1 burden. Here are the approximate values of coins in the land:

Wages are typically one gold coin per day for mercenaries and other professionals. Peasants and laborers typically get 1-10 silver per day, depending on demand. Experts or craftsmen can command somewhat higher wages, typically 2-10 gp per day, depending on skill.

Equipment prices are shown in generic coins. If using the Wealth system, divide each price by 10 to get its value.
